Available Grants through the South Shore Regional Professional Development Fund:

Teacher or School Initiated In-service Education
To provide an opportunity for a teacher or school to plan and initiate an in-service to address their professional development requirements.
Professional Development Grant
To allow a teacher to take a course for professional development
Educational Leaves of Less Than One Year (60 to 75 Days)
To allow a teacher to pursue a long term professional development opportunity such as attending University for a semester.
Educational Leaves of One Year
To allow a teacher to pursue a full year professional development opportunity.
Educational Leaves of Less Than One Year (1 to 21 Days)
To allow a teacher to pursue a short term professional development opportunity such as mentoring.
Conference Grant (Within the Maritime Provinces)
To allow a teacher to attend professional development opportunities such as a conference, workshop, seminar,
institute, non-teacher initiated in-service, NSELC or similar module, or clinic.
Conference Grant (Outside the Maritime Provinces)
To allow a teacher to attend professional development opportunities such as a conference, workshop, seminar,
institute, or clinic.
Conference Grant (NSTU Professional Association Conferences)
To allow a teacher to attend an NSTU Professional Association Conference on NSTU Conference Day.
